Abstract:
We construct strongly coupled theories with a conformal UV fixed point and an IR fixed point with broken conformal invariance and reduced symmetries caused by the presence of strong fields. We study the properties of these non-trivial Renormalization Group flows and their phase transitions holographically. Then we discuss non-local observables, their renormalization schemes and the transport coefficients. We identify the crucial role of symmetry in their universal behaviors and we show that the reduced symmetry leads to a destruction of the so called universal relations of observables and transport coefficients.
