Abstract：
We elucidate the notion of higher-form symmetry using the example of discrete electric and magnetic fluxes. Applying Noether’s second theorem, we establish the existence of continuous higher-form symmetries when there is redundancy in gauge transformations. Finally, we establish the higher Ward identities.
