Testing MSW effects in supernova neutrinos with large neutrino detectors

Abstract:
Flavor transitions of supernova neutrinos are yet to be determined. We present a method to verify whether or not the Mikheyev-Smirnov-Wolfenstein effects occur as SN neutrinos propagate outward from the SN core. We make use of time evolution of neutrino event rates in both liquid argon and liquid scintillation neutrino detectors.
