Title:  Scars vs Complexity

Abstract:
Quantum Scars are protected states which weakly violate the Eigenstate Thermalization Hypothesis. In many-body system they manifest through perfect periodic revivals of very specific initial states. One could think of them as a symmetry protected subspace of block diagonal states detached from the fast-thermalizing bulk. In this talk I'll focus on computing a very interesting quantity called the Krylov state spread complexity of such scarred states in a very specific model. The effect of different initial conditions and approximate symmetries will also be discussed. Time permitting, I'll also outline a vague Conformal Field Theory analogue of such a computation.
