Abstract:
There is a common belief that higher dimensional black strings do not exhibit superradiant instability. Previously stability has been known for scalar field perturbations. Here, I will talk about the superradiant instability for the six-dimensional rotating black string with equal spins against a gravitational perturbation, along with a discussion about the peculiarity of the instability to the setup that we focus on. I will then also introduce helical black strings branching off from the onset of the instability.
