Abstract:
The photometric transit method has made a significant contribution to the exoplanet research. In fact, it is the method which brings the detected exoplanet number up to more than 5000. In addition to discovering new planets, transit light curves can also be used to determine orbital parameters, investigate orbital decay, and even imply the possible existence of exomoons. In this project, box-like functions are used to fit the TESS light curves through MCMC processes as a first step. Then, model planet-moon transit light curves are employed to search for exomoon signals from the observational data. The exomoon candidates might be identified and the properties can be studied afterward.
