The First Image of Black Hole Shadow

On April 10, 2019, the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) Collaboration released the first image of black hole shadow in human history.

In this talk, I will present how this image was achieved, and what physics was derived from the data and the image.  Furthermore, I will talk about what are the next steps for the EHT Collaboration, and what the EHT-Taiwan and our new telescope, the Greenland Telescope (GLT), are going to contribute in this new research field.
