Solving small scale structure puzzles with dissipative dark matter

  • Event Date: 2016-10-07

    Place: R501, 2nd General Building 5F, NTHU

Dissipative dark matter, where dark matter couples to a massless 'dark photon' is discussed. In particular it will be shown that such a dissipative dark matter model has the potential to solve the small scale structure puzzles, including the missing satellite problem, cored galactic dark matter density profile, galactic scaling relations, planar orientation of satellite galaxies around Andromeda and the Milky Way.
