Abstract:
Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer, also known as IXPE, is a space observatory  designed to measure the polarization of cosmic X-rays. The observatory, which was launched in December 2021, has studied a number of astrophysical sources. I participated as a member of the IXPE team in the work on the first scientific target, Cassiopeia A,  and also contributed to the work on the remnant of Tycho's supernova. In this talk, I will overview these research works and will also summarize IXPE results from observations of other source classes, including pulsar wind nebulae, blazars, and a magnetar.
