[NCTS Seminar - Particle Physics Journal Club] The TEXONO Program on Neutrinos, Dark Matter, and Gravitation Wave Research
Title:The TEXONO Program on Neutrinos, Dark Matter, and Gravitation Wave Research
Time:2024/03/25 (Mon.) 12:30
Place:R517, New Physics Building, NTU
Abstract:
The Taiwan-rooted TEXONO research program started with physics and instrumentation of reactor neutrinos at the Kuo-Sheng Nuclear Power Plant. The subjects have evolved to include dark matter searches and gravitational wave (GW) science, through expansion made possible by generations of students and collaborations. We will give an account on the journey, results highlights and current status. In particular, the future prospects will be projected, on reactor neutrino-nucleus elastic scattering, on neutrinoless double beta decays, as well as in the setting-up of a GW research program in Taiwan.
