Abstract:
We present JUNO sensitivity (A. Abusleme et al. [JUNO], JCAP 09, 001 (2023)) to the annihilation of MeV dark matter in the galactic halo via detecting inverse beta decay reactions of electron anti-neutrinos resulting from the annihilation. To show the significance of this result, we apply the above sensitivity to the extension of U(1)_{L_mu-L_tau} model where the Z’ boson coupling to the fermionic dark matter is introduced. For dark matter particle lighter than 100 MeV, dark matter annihilates exclusively to neutrinos through the mediation of Z’ boson, i.e., DM+DM—> Z’—> nu_{mu, tau}+anti-nu_{mu, tau}. We compare the expected JUNO constraint to U(1)_{L_mu-L_tau} model with the current constraint set by muon g-2.
