NCTS Lecture Series on Introduction to the SYK Model and 2D Dilaton-Gravity System
Speaker: Prof. Yoshida, Kentaroh (Kyoto University)
Place: P512 of NCTS, 5F, 3rd General Building, Nat'l Tsing Hua Univ.
One of the most important issues in string theory is to understand the holographic principle at the full quantum level. Towards the complete understanding of holography, it is significant to try to construct a simple toy model of quantum holography.
Along this direction, I will introduce the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model and a 2D dilaton-gravity system which called the Jackiw-Teitelboim (JT) model (sometimes Almheiri-Polchinski (AP) model).
This series of lecture will be composed of 4 lectures:
1. Introduction to the SYK model-2-point function in a strong coupling limit
2. 4-point function and chaos in the SYK model
3. A 2D dilaton-gravity model (JT model)
4. Deformations of the JT model
