| Content | Welcome to the NCTS & NTHU IoA winter school on High-Energy Astrophysics, covering topics in cosmic ray and gamma-ray astrophysics/astronomy. This winter school will include six primary lecture series from leading international experts, a keynote lecture, and four science highlight talks over the course of 1 week. The school will set up as a hybrid event, and will be open to both on-line attendees and on-site registration at NTHU. The purpose of this winter school is to present an overview of the progress in major areas of cosmic ray astrophysics and gamma-ray astronomy in recent years, and to provide an introduction to the essential physics and concepts. It will also be an opportunity to bring together both new and established researchers in the field for discussion, exchange of ideas and to provide a platform for the growing local high-energy astrophysics early-career community in Taiwan and East Asia to engage with international experts, as well as researchers and students from further afield. The programme will cover a broad range of topics within cosmic ray astrophysics and gamma-ray astronomy, ranging from theory/modelling & simulation to instrumentation and observation. The school is intended for graduate research students （PhD & Masters） and post-docs with an interest in becoming involved in high energy astrophysics （in particular, topics relating to cosmic rays and gamma-rays）, as well as early-career scientists already active in the field and looking to broaden their understanding.
