Introduction
This winter school highlights two emerging directions at the interface of nonequilibrium physics, information, and data-driven modeling. Dr. Tan Van Vu will discuss recent advances on the thermodynamic uncertainty, entropy production constrained fluctuations, and optimal transport theory in stochastic thermodynamics and quantum many-body systems. Dr. Junghyo Jo will introduce how diffusion-based generative models can augment limited datasets and improve inference tasks, illustrated through inverse Ising reconstruction and neural activity data. Together, these lectures provide a broad and accessible overview of how physical constraints and modern machine-learning tools can be applied to study complex systems.
