Conference Name Amplitudes in Asia 2015
Content In the past few years we have seen the field of scattering amplitudes undergo tremendous progress due to its special role as the intersection of different interests. These include new mathematical structures, exact solutions, ultraviolet behaviour of quantum gravity, constraints on low energy effective theories, and precision prediction for LHC physics. This workshop is aimed to be primarily a pedagogical school for graduate students and researchers who are interested in the field. We aim at providing a self-contained program, where speakers present their work in a manner that can bridge the gap between understanding of basic quantum field theory and string theory, to the current frontier of their research.
This will be the second of an expected series of annual amplitude workshop (Amplitudes in Asia) that will rotate between different host institutes in the future. The first of which was held at HKUST IAS in Nov (17-21) 2014 (http://iasprogram.ust.hk/201411amp/). This will serve as an auxiliary meeting on the side of the annual Amplitudes, that is mostly held and Europe and America. It will provide more convenient access to leading research in this field for young scientist who’s home institution are based in asia.
