Conference Name 2nd International Workshop on Particle Physics and Cosmology after Higgs and Planck
Content On July 4, 2012, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) announced that the Higgs-like particle with a mass of 125 GeV has been discovered by the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Recently, this particle has been further confirmed to be the Higgs boson in the Standard Model (SM) in Particle Physics at the LHC. This discovery implies that the last fundamental particle in the SM has been found. As a result, a new era of Particle Physics has been arrived. On the other hand, on March 21, 2013, the European Space Agency (ESA) released the Planck cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation data. Planck provides a major source of information relevant to several cosmological and astrophysical issues, such as testing theories of the early universe and the origin of cosmic structure. It is clear that a new era has also begun in Cosmology. In this second international workshop at National Center for Theoretical Sciences (NCTS), we would like to invite the world leading experts to discuss various research topics and directions in this beginning of the new epoch in both Particle Physics and Cosmology.
