Content Introduction:
In recent years, quantum geometry has emerged as a unifying framework for understanding wavefunctions and response properties across a wide range of quantum systems. Rapid theoretical and experimental advances have revealed how geometric and topological structures govern diverse phenomena, including nonlinear transport and optical responses, topological phases, correlated states in moiré and low-dimensional materials, as well as engineered behavior in photonic and synthetic platforms. These developments highlight the growing role of geometric concepts in connecting band topology, symmetry, and measurable physical responses in modern quantum matter.
The 2026 NCTS Summer School will feature lectures delivered by international experts, including
Prof. Takahiro Morimoto (Kyoto University), Prof. Tomoki Ozawa (Tohoku University) and Prof. Jun Won Rhim (Ajou University),Dr. Christophe DE BEULE (NCKU) , as well as domestic experts, Prof. Shin-Ming Huang (NSYSU) ,Prof.Hsiu-Chuan,Hsu (NCCU) . The program aims to introduce fundamental theoretical approaches to quantum geometry, topology, and nonlinear phenomena while linking these concepts to current research frontiers across quantum materials and engineered quantum systems. The school seeks to bring together students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scientists working in theoretical condensed matter physics and related areas, providing a platform for participants to engage with cutting-edge developments and foster interdisciplinary interactions within the rapidly evolving field of quantum science.
