Conference Name	2014 the 3rd International Summer Course and Workshop on Development of Ultrafast Lasers and The Applications in Quantum Matter
Content	Recent development of ultrafast lasers and light sources have opened new routes of research and aroused novel applications in quantum matter. Our aim is to have this workshop serve as a forum for researchers and students in relevant fields to present their results and exchange ideas, and hopefully future collaborations will be stimulated. Adhered to our tradition, the workshop is preceded by the summer course, and comprises eight invited talks that are delivered by renowned scholars. We are very much delighted to see the broad while coherent flavors of these talks with topics ranging from development of ultrafast lasers and light sources to their applications in quantum matter. At the end, we would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the speakers who spend their valuable time to contribute to the summer course and workshop. We are also thankful to all participants. Your active participation certainly makes the summer course and workshop an exciting scientific feast.
