Introduction:
The 24th Taiwan-Japan-Korea Symposium on Strongly Correlated Electron System will be held at National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, from March 5 to March 7, 2026. This series is an annual trilateral scientific meeting that originated as a bilateral workshop between Korean and Japanese researchers focused on strongly correlated materials. With the increasing contributions from Taiwan in this field, the workshop evolved into a trilateral symposium, reflecting the vibrant and growing research activities across all three countries.

This symposium serves as a collaborative platform for discussing recent progress in strongly correlated systems and emergent quantum materials. Topics commonly addressed include exotic superconductors for next-generation quantum technologies, frustrated magnetism linked to quantum spin liquids, spin-charge-lattice coupled systems for ultrafast electronic switching, spin-orbit-driven phenomena relevant to topological quantum computation, topological states with robust edge transport, multiferroics for non-volatile memory applications, thermoelectric materials for energy harvesting, and low-dimensional or interface-engineered systems with novel functionalities in nanoelectronics. Emphasis is placed on recent experimental and theoretical advances that deepen the understanding of strongly correlated materials, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and international exchange among both established and early-career researchers.
